Merriwether class hosts Auggie the mascot at pizza party
Fifth graders at Merriwether Elementary won an essay contest about why Auggie should attend their Halloween party. Auggie the Augusta GreenJackets mascot visited with Little Caesars pizza and Q A, surprising the class led by teacher Sherry McIver. Shannon Mitchell and Auggie helped award prize packs as students danced and asked about the mascot’s gender and height.
