West German pilot flies over Soviet airspace on anniversary flight
A West German Cessna 150 pilot, identified as Andreas Sommer of Hamburg, crossed Soviet airspace while en route from Ivalo Finland to Kirkenes Norway and back, spending about 20 to 30 minutes over Soviet territory. The overflight echoed Mathias Rust's Moscow run. Rust remains imprisoned in the Soviet Union.
