Application For F M C S Bank Merger Is Filed
The Farmers and Merchants Bank and Citizens and Southern National Bank of South Carolina filed a formal merger application with Washington regulators. A decision is expected this summer. McNair, F M president, will stay as head of 12 offices with option to serve until age 70. The deal adds cash management and payroll programs and expands retail services.
