North Augusta Council Eyes sewer study and amphitheater funding
The North Augusta City Council plans a 22000 dollar I and I study for storm and ground water connections to the sewer system funded from the Gross Revenue Fund. They expect 20000 dollars more from 1982 CD funds to match 10000 dollars from SERTOMA for Riverview Park amphitheater. The meeting also may approve engineering and labor costs to fix drainage in front of North Augusta Animal Hospital at 1801 Georgia Ave with Dr. Tom Proctor to present material costs. Aiken County Council to Hear Budget Cuts and Projects
County Administrator W Scott Barnes will present further cuts to the proposed county budget at tomorrow nights meeting. The plan previously failed on May 18 and now includes a 7 percent inflation increase plus a 1 percent hike after tax reassessment.
