House Honors Speaker With His Portrait

The South Carolina House unveiled a portrait of Speaker Ramon Schwartz, placed between Rex Carter and Sol Blatt portraits. Schwartz, elected in 1969, will not seek re election this year, and praised the institution while Lt. Gov. Mike Daniel and Gov. Dick Riley offered remarks. The portrait by Theodore S. Gorka honors Schwartz’s decade of service.
