Veterans honored at Wade Hampton Memorial Day service
Col Dwayne Williams cited a WWI tribute as he opened the Memorial Day event at Wade Hampton Veterans Park sponsored by Jesse C Lynch American Legion Post 71. Sgt Sean Lauzat praised veterans groups and civilian support while Williams urged gratitude for all who wore the uniform and noted over one million soldiers died. Local veterans remembered include Leonard Aiken and Harmon Meeker II as Terry Eubanks led music and NJROTC drill teams performed.
