Bud weakens to tropical storm off Mexican coast
Bud dropped to a tropical storm off Mexico's Pacific coast south of Puerto Vallarta as it neared beach resorts and villages. The National Hurricane Center said winds fell from 115 mph to 70 mph and warnings were reduced. Rain could reach 6 to 10 inches, with authorities canceling school in 11 Jalisco communities and prepping shelters.
