Aiken Choral Society heads to Piccolo Spoleto festival
Talented local artists join the Aiken Choral Society for its 12th Piccolo Spoleto performance in Charleston. Pianists Lydia Porro and Artemisia Thevaos accompany the choir on two pianos, while harpist Katie Taylor of the South Carolina Philharmonic offers the Prelude. The event features Handel Coronation Anthems and Haydn Mass in Time of War at St Patrick Church. Virginia Harris joins ACS this year as Taylor’s mother relocates from Texas.

Windsor fundraiser to pay for flagpole dedication
The Town of Windsor will sponsor a barbecue dinner sale on Saturday at the Windsor Recreation Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds fund the flagpole and flags to be dedicated at a Sunday ceremony at 4 p.m. The flagpole stands on S.C. 78 beside the caboose in Windsor.

SPCA to Hold Benefit Dog Wash at Cold Creek Nurseries

Race to Beat Cancer Benefit at I-20 Speedway
