Free Course for Educators on Radiation Energy and Tech
CSRA teachers must register by June 3 for a free five day course titled Teaching Radiation Energy and Technology. Sponsored by Westinghouse Savannah River Company at the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center USC Aiken it begins July 29. The program offers staff development credits hands on activities materials valued over 100 and two hours of nuclear industry sites with travel stipends. Career Workshops At USC Aiken Schedule Two Sessions
The University of South Carolina Aiken will host two career workshops in late May and June. The first, Career Self Assessment, on May 30 at 7:30 p.m., costs 20 dollars and covers decision making styles and self assessment with books and handouts. The second, Exploring Career Options by Computer, on June 11 at 7:30 p.m., offers an Internet guided tour and SIGI career guidance system in a hands on setting.
