Iranian leader Khomeini undergoes surgery for internal bleeding

In Nicosia Iran’s Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, 88, had surgery to stop digestive bleeding. Tehran radio said he was in satisfactory condition after the operation and promised further health updates. Reports had noted ongoing ill health.

Woman Ends Four Month Cave Isolation in Carlsbad

The Aiken County Comprehensive Health Education Advisory Committee met with only six of 13 members present, delaying a vote on a human sexuality text for next year's secondary curriculum.
