Posner Appeals After Judge Allows Graniteville Self Tender
Victor Posner’s Southeastern Public Service Company filed a notice of appeal in Columbia after Judge Solomon Blatt Jr. allowed Graniteville to proceed with a self tender and employee stock ownership plan. The firms clash over a $17.50 per share buyback for up to 1.5 million Graniteville shares and Southeastern’s bid for the company. Southeastern urged a reversal before Graniteville begins stock purchases on Thursday.
