After two hours of deliberation a Aiken County jury cleared obstetrician Dr. Clovis H. Pierce of malpractice charges related to the 1971 birth of Kelli Williams. The suit by Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Williams alleged excessive labor stimulant doses and misapplied forceps.
