Discrimination alleged at Memorial Day Black Bike Week

The NAACP filed two federal suits in Florence accusing Myrtle Beach area officials and the Yachtsman Resort Hotel of racially biased treatment during the Atlantic Beach Bikefest and Black Bike Week. The suits seek injunctions and damages, alleging higher charges, ID requirements, restricted traffic, and unequal enforcement compared with a white rally the prior week.
