The relationship between victim and suspect remains unclear.
South Carolina aims to boost its film industry by expanding incentives, attracting private investors, and hiring a Hollywood agent. The Commerce Department plan urges revolving loan programs, new film facilities, and film specialist training. Commerce Secretary Way cites nearly 500 projects last year delivering 49.6 million in direct expenditures and 3,500 jobs. Film Office director Kerragan notes higher impacts with stronger tax incentives, citing Virginia’s 250,000 cash incentive aiding a 42 million sequel.
