Cereus Gardeners Learn About Herbs From Mrs Sherman
Cereus Gardeners toured Mrs. C R Sherman’s gardens noting herbs among flowers. They discussed 320 hummingbird species, polygamous birds in Aiken, and plans for Spring in Hopelands and National Garden Week. The May meeting will feature Lee Dane on the Aiken County Open Land Trust.

March for Jesus planned in Aiken weekend events
Several observances of the international March for Jesus are set for Saturday in Aiken. The main walk runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Virginia Acres City Park near Odell Weeks Recreation Center, with prayer, worship, carnival games, and free food awaiting participants.

Partners in Friendship plans Orvieto trip for Aiken residents
Efforts are under way to organize a one to two week Orvieto Italy tour for Aiken residents in cooperation with Partners in Friendship. The June 28 July 8 package costs about 2100 dollars and includes stays at a renovated farm house turned hotel with nine en suite rooms.
