Beasley Signals Possible Trim to Property Tax Cut Plan
Gov. Beasley suggested he could accept about 175 million dollars in property tax relief amid budget talks with Republicans in South Carolina. He cautioned he may not abandon his goal while noting unresolved differences with the House and Senate over education funding and tax cuts as lawmakers rush to finish the 4.1 billion budget before June 1.
