Lynching law now used mostly against blacks

In South Carolina the lone anti lynching statute, intended to curb mob violence against Blacks, is now applied disproportionately to Black defendants. AP analysis shows Blacks comprise about 63 percent of lynching charges despite 29.5 percent population share, with Greenville and Pickens counties most affected since 1947 Willie Earle case.
