Kennedy to Headline Turnipseed Fundraiser in Washington
State Senator Tom Turnipseed says Senator Edward Kennedy will star at a Washington reception to benefit his campaign debts from last year. Tickets cost 100 dollars each, with Governor Riley and the South Carolina delegation co sponsoring. Turnipseed estimates debts exceed 80 thousand dollars and hopes Kennedy help ease the burden. President Carter may send a representative if unable to attend. A separate June 23 Bar Kcote event is planned near Columbia.
