East Aiken students light Hopelands night with arts show
East Aiken School of the Arts staged a vibrant after school program at Hopelands Gardens drawing hundreds of families. Students sang danced read poetry and played instruments as turtles and a duck watched from the pond. The event, part of the city summer concert series, showcased orchestral strings guitar vocals ballet jazz and tap with No Boundaries choir concluding the night. Principal Lisa Fallon and music teacher Morgan Hanna praised community support and the chance to perform publicly beyond Cedar Creek Church. Upcoming East Aiken productions include Twas the Week after Christmas and Seussical Jr.

North Augusta City Council approved buying back 3.03 acres for 878000 to reclaim Project Jackson land. Aiken group Crowning Lupus hosts its fourth Lupus Walk at H Odell Weeks Activities Center on Saturday with 9 30 a m start and 10 a m walk. Registration is 25 in person or by mail, 29 50 online. Lifecycle outreach includes education and resources for lupus survivors statewide. The event supports awareness and fundraising for lupus services.
