ABC Drops Millionaire From Fall Schedule Amid Schedule Shakeup
ABC unveils a revamped fall lineup as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is dropped from prime time. The network plans seven new series, shifts comedies to 8 p.m., and folds in Dinotopia projects and a Ben Affleck developed drama alongside retools for Spin City and Dharma and Greg. ABC cites a 23 percent ratings drop and aims to halt the decline while acknowledging no jump to first place next year. Regis Philbin and Millionaire will return in special events, likely consecutive nights.
