Sunday blue laws to remain intact in most South Carolina counties

In a 76 to 34 vote the South Carolina House tabled a bill to lift Sunday shopping restrictions in Florence Lexington Georgetown Spartanburg and Beaufort counties. Voters in 42 of 46 counties had supported blue laws in November referendums while Richland Charleston Horry and Pickens counties did not have the measure on the ballot.
