Seniors Farmers Market Program Returns to Aiken County
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program comes back to Aiken County this summer serving about 25 000 seniors in 41 South Carolina counties between May and Oct 15 The program provides five $5 checks for eligible seniors 60 plus to purchase fresh produce at authorized markets and stands Application events run June 5 to June 14 at multiple sites with venues including H Odell Weeks Center Our Lady of the Valley Wagener and Jackson based centers Checks issued first come first served while supplies last and must be used at authorized farmers markets for nutrition education details visit the USDA FNS site
