Woman's body found near residence in Double Springs area
A decomposed female body was found Saturday on Double Springs Road near Redcliffe Elementary School by Wendell Baughman, whose wife Melody has been missing since April 23. An autopsy is planned to identify the victim and determine the cause of death. Melody Baughman, 56, disappeared from 1082 Double Springs Road after an argument with her husband. no medications or valuables were taken. The case is being investigated by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.
