King Laurence was appointed by the Aiken County School Board as the associate superintendent for instruction and accountability. He succeeds Dr. Kevin O Gorman in Berkeley County. Laurence, a former Busbee Elementary principal, has degrees from USC Aiken, the University of South Carolina, and Lander University. He emphasized focusing on Common Core standards.
