TV tonight features the Mets visiting the Braves at 7:35 p.m. on TBS and the Gunslingers facing the Renegades at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
The Aiken High baseball team finished 17-4 after a 13-10 playoff loss to Manning ending their season. Manning built an early lead but Aiken rallied, with Walter Folks the pitcher, and key hits from Mike Mahoney Clem Rogers and Ron Seigler. Coach Ron Simmons praised the effort and noted only three players graduate, with a strong returning lineup next year.
Wagener-Salley baseball ends season after dropping the decisive district playoff game 8-5 to Timmonsville. Earlier they won game one 8-4 as Marvin Johnson earned his 14th win. Adrian Staley collected three hits and two RBIs to pace the War Eagles offense.

Wayne Woolfall, Baylor High Tennessee senior, won the 11th Southern Cross by five strokes with a two over par 73 at Palmetto Golf Club. Spartanburg High took the team title by five over Westside of Augusta.
Boston used a dominant inside game led by Robert Parish and Kevin McHale to beat Philadelphia 108 93 in the Eastern Conference final opener. Bird added 23 points as the Celtics outscored the 76ers inside and sealed the victory in the final six minutes.
