Democrats Seek Smaller Tax Cut Still Back Reagan Plan
Conservatives in the House push for a three year tax cut smaller than Reagan's 30 percent proposal. Rep Kent Hance says 25 percent over three years is the maximum his group will accept with 5 percent first year and 10 percent in each following year. Treasury officials say the administration remains firm on a three year cut and will consider alternatives only if a better plan emerges.

Senate Leaves Room For Full Reagan Tax Cuts
