Aiken County Budget talks highlight staff raises and staffing needs
Aiken County officials presented 2017 2018 budgets during a special work session. Treasurers Office touted reforms including cash handling overhauls privacy protections and a Wagener satellite office while seeking one more accountant. Coroner and Sheriff requests focused on deputies and line items. Thurmond outlined library space renovations and a proposed truancy court. Council will resume budget work next Tuesday.
