Augusta developer buys Aiken Mall for 3 million
Southeastern Development Associates, operating as Ramp G Partners LLC, paid 3.025 million dollars for the Aiken Mall property, records show. CEO Victor Mills says the firm is also acquiring the nearby Dillard property, last appraised at 4.4 million, with redevelopment mirroring Hilton Head’s Shelter Cove Towne Centre after a similar decline.

Aiken council advances first vote on $20 road fee
Aiken City Council approved the first of two votes for an annual $20 vehicle maintenance fee to fund a new roads program. City Manager John Klimm says the city faces a road and infrastructure crisis with 367 miles of roads, including 90 miles city owned, and 277 miles owned by county or state. A second vote and public hearing are needed before the fee takes effect on the 23,600 vehicles inside city limits.
