Orangeburg County Sheriff C R Smith Jr said on Tuesday that Jammie Aiken Jordan 21 and Ashley Varn Rouse 17 have been identified as suspects in burglaries and auto thefts in Texas and Illinois. Cause of death remains officially undetermined.

Former Mayor Randy Shaw, now jailed, oversaw the project. The water commission predates the town charter by a year.
