Officials push for more SRS funding amid shrinking resources

In Washington DC last week, David Jameson of the Greater Aiken Chamber told South Carolina lawmakers and DOE leaders that Savannah River Site funding is shrinking while needs grow. He cited a $51 million cut to H Canyon missions and a potential loss of about 350 jobs, urging Congress to boost funding for cleanup, infrastructure, and future missions. He and others also discussed CSRA benefits as Cyber Command relocates to Augusta and explored homeland security cyber programs and internships.
