Ex police chief sues New Ellenton over termination dispute
Former New Ellenton police chief Van McMillan, terminated in 2004 after a verbal incident with a town clerk, has filed a federal lawsuit against the town and police department. The suit, filed April 20, names the town and officials, with attorney Kelly Zier confirming representation. McMillan now directs the Augusta Department of Neighborhood Enhancement, and town officials say they have no further comment pending public records.

Aiken High senior Steven Key set to graduate in music education
