Edisto Beach area under swimming advisory due to bacteria
A section of Edisto Beach is under a swimming advisory after tests showed high bacteria levels. The affected zone extends about 200 feet above and below Atlantic Street. DHEC advised against swimming but wading and shellfishing are allowed while water contact should be limited for those with open wounds.
