Muggers Strike Riverwalk Victims Hospitalized in Augusta
Two South Carolina residents were assaulted on the Augusta Riverwalk near the 700 block of WBS around 11 pm Friday. A 27 year old Edgefield man Wesley Spires and his 25 year old North Augusta girlfriend Ashley Solsbee were hospitalized after two tall black suspects wearing all black used an aluminum baseball bat to threaten them and demand money. The suspects fled in a vehicle driven by an unnamed male. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office reports no arrests yet.

Burglary reported on Abbeville Avenue and Mayfield Mayfield Road Aiken McShain Drive Seymour Drive areas. A grave at Baskett Gantt Cemetery in Wagener was vandalized with a skull found near a tomb. Burglaries also reported on North Augusta Seymour Drive.
