Jobless Rate Dips Slightly In April

Posner unit under fire in SC anti takeover suit

Southeastern Public Service Company controlled by Victor Posner seeks to strike down South Carolina anti takeover laws in U S District Court in Aiken. Annexation and plans discussed at Aiken City Council

The Aiken City Council meets Monday at 7 30 p m to consider annexing the Dry Dock property on Whiskey Road and a Quit Claim Deed for the Chesterfield Street site of the new Aiken County Judicial Center. They will also amend the business license ordinance for itinerant merchants and review bids for a forestry fire fighting unit playground equipment and downtown Christmas lights funding.
