Murder Charge Filed Against M C Boyd
M Boyd of the Hollow Creek section is jailed in Aiken County with a murder charge. Sterling Rhodes, a farmer near Augusta, died at a hospital from gunshot wounds said to be inflicted by Boyd late Thursday at his farm. Boyd was arrested soon after and jailed. the shooting followed a quarrel over a boat claimed by Rhodes.
