A man identified as LPP GH of Deau faces charges after a robbery and sexual assault incident. Police say the suspect was arrested and booked, with investigators pursuing additional evidence and potential related cases.
Chad Alan Moore, 48, of Standard Warehouse Road, was charged with first degree burglary and multiple offenses after a 2016 Glen Arbor Court incident in which a 34 year old woman was held at gunpoint, forced to undress and sexually assaulted, with about 300 in cash taken and the suspect fled on foot. Moore was arrested Monday and held at the Aiken County detention center.

The Aiken Area American Red Cross honored local residents at its Heroes Breakfast at Newbery Hall. Honoree John Nichols donated a kidney to David Palmer, enabling a life beyond dialysis and a first anniversary cake planned for July. Also cited were deputies, SRS workers, and several students and adults recognized for courage, service, and community projects.
