Peach Blossom Festival celebrates Johnston peach heritage in crowded weekend

Johnston hosts the 32nd Peach Blossom Festival with over 40 craft and food vendors on Main Street and a new classic car show. A parade featuring antique tractors, motorcycles and the Strom Thurmond High School band drew about 40 units, while attendance climbed to between 8,000 and 10,000 over recent years. Local organizers note the festival’s growth since its revival in the past, and visitors enjoy live music, crafts, and family activities as the town highlights its peach industry.
