Hound Dog Day Combines Festival and Hound Racing
The Aiken Area Council on Aging and Edisto River Hounds co sponsor Hound Dog Day a country festival and hound racing on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm at Woodward Farms five miles east of Aiken off highway 302. Hounds race at 1 30 pm in eight races by age and sex with a drag scent on a quarter mile course. The event features arts crafts concessions a silent auction and children activities plus hourly music by Ken Dukes Band and appearances by Eric DeBeaugrine. Proceeds benefit both organizations with tickets 60 per car four day passes VIP parking and 5 general admission. kids under 10 free. For details contact Belinda H Roger or D K Newell.
