Spec building back to square one in Aiken
The 30,000 square foot Willow Run Industrial Park spec building is back to square one after two major bidders EDP and Children’s Place said they have no plans to move in. The building sat vacant since 2003. Project Cloud, a $10 million plan with 30 jobs and payroll over $1 million, was dropped for a new location. Children’s Place cited engineering limits and cost as factors. Aiken Corp. still seeks a buyer at $415,000 while EDP will continue marketing efforts with the city and Aiken Corp. Maayan Schechter reports for Aiken Standard.
