The CSRA chapter of Bereaved Parents USA hosts its annual balloon launching at 7 30 pm near Aiken Regional Medical Centers pond. The group supports parents and siblings rebuilding after loss and marks its 25th anniversary.
Schofield Middle School seventh grader Annalise Eberhard and teammates Rachel Perkins and Kari Mahannah won first in junior group documentary at the state History Day competition for Voices of Mauthausen. Their project, inspired by grandfather Elmore Fabrick, follows Triumph and Tragedy through History with ties to World War II and the Mauthausen camp.
