BLOTTER Aiken reports multiple shoplifting and fraud cases
A 69 year old New Ellenton woman was charged with shoplifting after attempting to take 125 dollars in merchandise on Whiskey Road without paying. A 21 year old Jackson man was charged with shoplifting a shirt on Whiskey Road. An unknown man tried to shoplift clothing from Aiken Mall and fled. A store owner reported unauthorized credit card transactions. Gunshots reported on Chesterfield Street with no evidence found. A vehicle stolen from Pine Log Road. A Williston woman reported bank card fraud in Georgetown. A Warrenville woman reported 150 dollars cash stolen from her home after a cable technician visited. Burglary on Chestnut Brown Court Warrenville and Villa Oak Court Langley. Three vehicle break-ins on Lake Moultrie Drive North Augusta Harrow Circle and Starbuck Lane. Two vehicles stolen on Lake Moultrie Drive North Augusta and Legion Road Warrenville.

Warrenville Man Charged With Cruelty to Child
Aiken County Sheriff's deputies charged Timothy Evans, 39, with cruelty to a child for shooting a 13 year old boy in the chest with a BB gun when the boy would not move from in front of a television. The incident occurred February 27 at a Pine Street home in Warrenville and the boy, staying with his mother in Warrenville, was shot after turning to speak. The boy reported a red chest mark and said he faces bullying at his Warrenville home. Evans remained in custody in Aiken County with a hold for Pickens County as of Thursday afternoon.
