North Augusta police ask the public to identify two individuals suspected of shoplifting at the Knox Avenue Wal Mart. They were involved in two separate incidents. Call 803-279-2121 with any identifying information.
Aiken, SC, 35 year old Tessa Key was charged by the South Carolina Highway Patrol with a Saturday hit and run. The incident on Howlandville Road left a man seriously injured after being struck while walking on the shoulder. Key was arrested Monday morning and remained at large as of afternoon.
The Aiken Center for the Arts and Aiken Driving Club host a Tuesday screening of The Caravan from 6 to 9 p.m. at 122 Laurens St. SW. Tickets cost 15 dollars and support both groups. dessert coffee and a raffle accompany the event. Douglas Munro will attend. Proceeds benefit the arts center and driving club.
The Horse Creek Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the parish house of St. Pauls Episcopal Church 117 Hard St Graniteville. Brenda Baratto director of the Aiken County Historical Museum will be the guest speaker. For more information call 803 663 9457.
Aiken County deputies report multiple incidents including power meter tampering on Liz ard Lane Beech Island, a 32-year-old Augusta man with two warrants for vandalism and assault, and numerous other calls. The blotter notes include open beer found on a stroller during a custody dispute, a gun threatened during a striking incident, suspected identity theft at a Clearwater pharmacy, and a public firearm discharge on Fire Tower Road. Other items report shoplifting charges, a naked intoxicated man found at a Richland Avenue hotel, a 4-year-old alleging inappropriate touching at an Aiken medical center, and a drive-thru drug-using suspect at a fast-food restaurant.
