Aiken Considers 7 Percent Sewer Rate Rise
Aiken City Council approved the first of two votes on a proposed 7 percent sewer rate increase for 2016 17. The rate would rise from 2.25 to 2.41 per 100 cubic feet, adding about 1.28 dollars to the average monthly sewer bill of 29 dollars. The increase affects only sewer charges on the water bill.
