Record crowd at Aiken Harness Races exceeds expectations

More than 6,000 fans attended the 28th running at McGhees Mile Track with a final count of 6,213. USCA officials called it the largest crowd ever and praised ideal weather. Spectators from Cedar Creek shared food and camaraderie while watching the triples crown event conclude and horses head to future races in Kentucky, Ohio, or New Jersey.

Downed U.S. pilot rescued after stealth fighter crash
