Friday night marked opening of Monetta’s renovated drive in theater The Big Mo with The Wizard of Oz. About 70 groups attended despite cold temperatures and repair challenges faced by owners Richard and Lisa Boaz Irmo residents and visitors from Aiken Columbia and nearby areas enjoyed the event.
NATO forces intensified raids on Belgrade and Kosovo as explosions rocked the city, with reports of fires, shattered windows, and a fuel depot hit. Yugoslav forces were blamed for retaliatory attacks on ethnic Albanians while a distant clash over Bosnia saw two MiG-29s shot down. A cruise missile fired from a U.S. ship accompanied the strikes.
