Suspect Slain In Manhunt Near Aiken After Gas Station Robbery

A robbery suspect Tommy Joel Lewis age 37 was killed by officers after a high speed chase and vehicle theft ending in woods near Aiken. SLED agents and local officers were placed on administrative duty as investigators review the shooting. The robbery occurred at Smile Gas Station in North Augusta around 9 p.m. and the suspect fled prior to the fatal encounter.

Advice For Life In The Nineties Event In Aiken

A 1990s lifestyle evening titled Advice For Life In The Nineties will be held at the H Odell Weeks Center gym.
