Sheriff sued over alleged attack in Aiken County
Lorenzo Williams a 19 year old New Ellenton resident has filed suit against Sheriff Michael Hunt the Aiken County Sheriff's Office and former deputy Jeffrey Nations alleging Fourth Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment rights violations arising from an illegal search and assault on September 7 2008. The complaint claims Nations accosted Williams and other young men as they walked by after being targeted for sagging pants and threatened arrest for disorderly conduct unless he produced identification.
