Record turnout eyed for Aiken County sheriff race

Aiken County voter turnout is expected to break records for Tuesday's special sheriff race with projections of 415 000 to 18 000 voters despite 71 718 active voters and 85 000 possible voters. The only county wide special election in 12 years was in 1994 when 4907 ballots were cast.
