North Augusta Council questions Martintown road expansion plan

North Augusta City Council will not support the Martintown Road widening until the South Carolina Highway Department answers key questions on design, sidewalks, truck traffic, speed, five lanes, a pedestrian overpass or underpass, environmental impact, and storm drainage. The council also amended the utilities billing ordinance and accepted a $40,000 bid for city property at 527 Georgia Ave.
