Hunt Meet crowns Quiet Bay in Imperial Cup upset
At the 16th Aiken Hunt Meet, Quiet Bay ridden by John Cushman edged past Deux Coup and An Adios as Jonathan Sheppard’s duo also swept the cards. Energy Grant claimed the Byers Cup for Augustin Stables with Mark Stickley aboard, while Student Dancer won the Aiken Standard Gold Cup for Cushman and Sheppard. Melissa Paschal rode Penny Bank to victory in the William K Laughlin Cup, and apprentice Joseph Gillet earned his first jump win with On Maneuvers in the Bayard Warren.
